Each month, the CFC hosts an internal informational session with its staff, inviting members of DEIA advocacy groups to participate. To date the CFC has welcomed the following people and organizations.




CAPE Executive Director Michelle Sugihara, Head of Communications Jes Vũ, and Head of Programs Rhian Moore
CAPE (Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment) is the longest-running non-profit organization creating opportunities and driving change for Asian and Pacific Islander (API) success in Hollywood. Filipino-American Actor Jon Jon Briones
Briones is a Filipino-American actor best known for his work in musical theatre. He played the Engineer in the original casts in the West End revival of Miss Saigon in 2014, for which he was nominated for the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical, and reprised the part on Broadway in 2017.
GLAAD Sr. Director of Entertainment Alex Schmider
Founded in 1985, GLAAD is a non-profit organization focused on LGBTQ advocacy and cultural change. GLAAD works to ensure fair, accurate, and inclusive representation and creates national and local programs that advance LGBTQ acceptance. Serving as a storyteller, media force, resource, and advocate, GLAAD tackles tough issues and provokes dialogue so that authentic LGBTQ stories are seen, heard, and actualized. GLAAD strives to protect all that has been accomplished and helps create a world where everyone can live the life they love.

Disability Belongs™ is a diverse, disability-led nonprofit that works to create systemic change in how society views and values people with disabilities, and that advances policies and practices that empower people with disabilities to have a better future. Our mission is to fight stigmas and advance opportunities so people with disabilities can fully participate in all aspects of community.
Latino Film Institute Chief Executive Officer Axel Caballero
LFI is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating infrastructure for education, advancement and innovation in the entertainment, tech arts and media industries. LFI houses signature programs, such as: the Youth Cinema Project (YCP), the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF), LFI Scholar, LFI Spotlight Series, and LFI Fellowships.
Veterans in Media & Entertainment (VME) Army Reserve Lieutenant and VME’s Media & Community Relations Officer, and freelance writer and director Tim Yao and VME Industry Liaison, former Marine, actress and production specialist Sarah Carroll
VME is a professional association of U.S. military veterans working in, or aspiring to work in, media and entertainment. We connect veterans to jobs, internships, fellowships, and build community. We also serve as a talent pipeline of military talent for the industry.
